The colourists behind every formula

Three Betacvivid colourists in the rose-warm Kensington studio

Small team, deep expertise — everyone at Betacvivid specialises in colour, not generalist cutting.

Betacvivid opened in 2018 with a single guiding principle: build a team of colourists who have trained beyond the standard curriculum. Every stylist here has completed advanced colour education in either balayage placement, vivid colour theory, or corrective work — and most have done all three. We keep the team deliberately small so every colourist controls their own client list, their own formulas, and their own booking pace. Nobody is double-booked. Nobody is rushing a 90-minute bleach-and-tone into 60 minutes because the schedule is overloaded.

Each colourist brings a distinct specialisation — so your booking is matched to the right hands.

Sienna Park, senior colourist at Betacvivid

Sienna Park — Senior Colourist

Sienna leads colour corrections and complex multi-session transformations. She trained in Vancouver and Toronto before joining Betacvivid in 2019. Her formulas consistently land within half a level of the target — clients describe her assessments as “the most honest conversation they've had about their hair.”

Luca Ferreira, balayage specialist at Betacvivid

Luca Ferreira — Balayage Specialist

Luca's hand-painting technique is built on an understanding of how Calgary's flat northern light reads on hair outdoors versus indoors. He adjusts placement angle and section weight based on your hair's growth pattern rather than applying a standard template. Joined Betacvivid in 2020.

Yasmine Tremblay, vivid colour specialist at Betacvivid

Yasmine Tremblay — Vivid Colour & Creative

Yasmine handles all vivid and fashion colour work — from rose-warm pastels to deep jewel tones. She completed a six-month residency focused entirely on colour chemistry before joining in 2021, which means she understands fade rates, water chemistry, and maintenance in a way that keeps your vivid colour looking intentional for longer.

Luca noticed my hair was growing in at a slightly different angle on the left side and adjusted the balayage placement to compensate. Nobody has ever caught that before. The result is the most even colour I've had in ten years of highlights.
